About Ximena

For more
than fifteen
years.

I have worked at the intersection of culture, music, wellness, creativity, and community.

My work is centered around relationships: connecting people, supporting meaningful projects, curating experiences, and translating the subtle wisdom of teachers into forms that are accessible and meaningful for a wider audience.

I believe the most impactful projects are built through respect, devotion, trust, beauty, and authentic human connection.

RestAura
and beyond.

From 2019 to 2026, I served as Event Director and Producer of RestAura, IKAL's annual festival devoted to wellness, art, ancestral wisdom, and conscious community.

Created in Tulum, RestAura brings together Indigenous elders, artists, musicians, facilitators, and changemakers to honor ancestral traditions through music, ceremony, art, and meaningful connection. The festival creates a space where diverse cultures and worldviews meet, inspiring a more conscious relationship with ourselves, one another, and the Earth.

Over seven editions, I led the curation, production, partnerships, guest experience, and community relations, helping the festival grow into a four-day gathering featuring five simultaneous stages, more than 120 facilitators, artists, and elders, and over 450 participants per day. In 2026, RestAura expanded beyond Tulum with its first edition in Tepoztlán.

RestAura continues to serve as a platform for preserving living traditions while creating transformative experiences that bridge ancestral wisdom with contemporary life.

Tara Stupa:
Love &
Compassion.

After several years walking the path of the Dharma under the guidance and blessings of Garchen Rinpoche and Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche, I had the profound honor of participating in the consecration of the Stupa of Enlightenment in Loma Bonita, Oaxaca.

It was there that the vision arose to help manifest a Tara Stupa at IKAL—a sacred place of refuge, a support for practice, and an antenna of light dedicated to Tulum, Mexico, and the benefit of all sentient beings.

Bringing this vision to life took patience, trust, and many conversations. Sharing the aspiration with the IKAL family and introducing our teachers was a gradual process, yet, through the blessings of Garchen Rinpoche, the generosity of our teachers, and the wholehearted support of the community, the Stupa manifested with remarkable grace.

This is not the work of one person. It is a Stupa born from collective intention. Within it rest the prayers of countless practitioners, sacred objects, precious relics, and the aspirations of many hearts united in service.

Today, it is a deep honor to serve as one of its guardians—helping sustain the daily practices, welcoming visiting teachers, and caring for this sacred space so that it may continue to inspire wisdom, compassion, and awakening for all who come.

Self Forgiveness
Through Art.

Sorry was a three-day transformational experience held in Tepoztlán, inspired by the journey of self-forgiveness and healing our relationships through art.

Conceived as a collective video art piece for self-healing, the experience brought together movement, voice, and ceremony. Participants engaged in dance practices, vocal workshops, and ritual spaces that culminated in the creation of a shared choreography. On the final day, this collective process became the filming of the video artwork itself.

Guided by musician Alex Serra and choreographer Priscila Hernández, with executive production by Néctar, Sorry invited participants to embody vulnerability, forgiveness, and transformation through creative expression.

House of Ayni.

As Fellowship Producer at House of Ayni (2018–2022), I designed and produced immersive retreats in Mexico for social impact leaders working to prevent violence, abuse, and child sexual abuse. Through these experiences, I helped create spaces for alignment, inspiration, collaboration, and community, supporting House of Ayni's mission (now Aurora) to strengthen the network of organizations protecting vulnerable children and advancing systemic change in Mexico.

My Story

The thread
I follow.

My journey began with photography, which led me into the worlds of music, artist management, and cultural production. Working with record labels, musicians, film festivals, fashion brands, and later in public relations for luxury hotels and hospitality.

A profound encounter with a spiritual teacher transformed the direction of my life, shifting my focus from communications toward community, consciousness, and service.

In 2012, I co-founded Tribu Records, a creative platform dedicated to preserving and sharing ancestral music and healing traditions. Through this work, I traveled across Mexico, Japan, Peru, Brazil, and beyond, collaborating with traditional musicians, producing retreats, and co-creating the album Xicome with more than thirty artists from around the world.

Since arriving in Tulum in 2019, I have co-created projects that weave together art, nature, community, and ancestral wisdom, including RestAura, IKAL Tulum, and Néctar, with whom I continue to collaborate closely as a core ally. These experiences have shaped my work as a community weaver, creative producer, and bridge between artists, wisdom keepers, organizations, and purpose-driven initiatives.

Today, through XR, I continue this path, honoring everything I have created alongside my collaborators while embracing new partnerships, creative freedom, and a more independent way of serving.

I am inspired by initiatives that honor life, embody the spirit of ayni (sacred reciprocity) and celebrate art, culture, and ancestral wisdom as pathways for genuine human connection and collective transformation.

Whether producing immersive experiences, nurturing strategic partnerships, or supporting visionary initiatives, my intention remains the same: to create spaces where beauty, collaboration, and transformation can flourish for the benefit of all beings.
